Yello Automotive Refund Policy

At Yello Automotive, we strive to offer flexible, fair, and transparent rental experiences. We understand that plans can change, and we’re here to support you when they do. Below is our official refund policy:

Cancellation & Refund Guidelines

  • 48 hours or more before rental day:
    You’re eligible for a *full refund* (minus any mobile money or bank transaction fees).
  • 24 hours before rental day:
    A 25% cancellation fee of total booking amount applies. This covers admin, vehicle prep, and opportunity cost.

  • On the Rental Day

  • No refund. However, we’re happy to *reschedule your booking once*, subject to vehicle availability. Please note:
    The vehicle may be changed.
    After the first reschedule, no further rescheduling is allowed.
     If you cancel again on a new rental day after rescheduling, no refund will be issued.
  • During an Ongoing Rental


You must notify us at least 24 hours before the day you intend to end the rental early.
 If this condition is met, you may be eligible for a full refund of the unused balance.

  • If notice is given less than 24 hours before, a day’s rental amount will be deducted from the balance before a refund is processed.

Late Returns & Early Drop-Offs

Late Returns: Additional fees apply beyond the agreed time. Contact the Help Center for rates.
Early Return (without prior discussion): No refunds for unused rental days, unless the above notice terms are met.

Non-Refundable Scenarios

Refunds will not be issued if:

  • The client fails to show up at the agreed time/place without notice.
  • Rental was terminated early due to breach of agreement or misconduct.
  • Repairs or fuel expenses were made without prior approval.
  • In the case of no proper documentation at the time of pickup (for self-drive).

Special Exceptions

We understand life happens. If there’s an emergency or unforeseen issue (e.g., illness, travel delays, natural disasters), we’ll review your case and do our best to accommodate you fairly.


How Refunds Are Processed

Refunds are made via the same payment method used (Mobile Money, Bank Transfer, etc.).Please allow up to 7 business days to reflect, depending on your provider.

Your Rights & Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or update your personal information
  • Request that we delete your information (unless legally required to keep it)
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time

How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain customer data only as long as needed:

  • For legal or regulatory compliance
  • For active rentals or accounts
  • For insurance or dispute resolution purposes

After that, we delete or securely archive it.
